Kathmandu University 30th Convocation Second Phase - 1,129 Students Conferred Degrees at KU's 30th Convocation (Second Phase).

During the second phase of Kathmandu University’s 30th convocation, held on June 13, 2025, a total of 1,129 students from various levels and disciplines received their academic degrees.

The ceremony was presided over by Prime Minister and Chancellor K.P. Sharma Oli. The Chief Guest was Dr. Brendan G. Carr, CEO of Mount Sinai Health Systems, USA. Also present was Minister for Education, Science, and Technology and Pro-Chancellor Raghuji Pant.

Remarks from the Guests

Dr. Brendan G. Carr expressed that leading Mount Sinai's collaboration with Nepal is a privilege. He committed to advancing medical education, improving the quality of healthcare, and promoting research opportunities in Nepal for better health outcomes.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle welcomed the guests, noting that global higher education is at a critical crossroads. He emphasized the shift away from traditional content-heavy models towards knowledge and skill-based learning through classrooms, labs, and workshops.

Total Graduates from KU to Date

By the end of the second phase of the 30th convocation, Kathmandu University has produced a total of 47,831 graduates. Among them, 5,660 (11.83%) are international students.
