Three-Day Training on Education Administration in Jumla

A three-day training focused on education administration and information systems has started in Guru Chaur, Kanakasundari Rural Municipality–6, Jumla.

The training includes participants from all eight local units, comprising teachers and school staff.

This training has been organized to provide community school principals and administrative staff with relevant knowledge on education administration and information systems. Another major goal is to facilitate the exchange of experiences related to model school activities.

Organized by Jumla's Social Development Office

The training is being conducted under the leadership of the Social Development Office, Jumla, in coordination with Kanakasundari Rural Municipality.

Acting Chairperson of Kanakasundari Rural Municipality, Prem Bahadur Pachhai, emphasized the need to improve the financial administration of community schools.

He expressed that the training would help reduce existing uncertainties in the school sector and bring improvements in both educational and administrative areas.

Decentralizing Training from District to Local Level

Chief of the Social Development Office, Top Bahadur Budha, stated that such programs have now been decentralized from district centers to local levels, in line with the spirit of federalism. According to him, this training aims to clarify technical components and share experiences from model schools.

Investment in the Education Sector at the Local Level

Budha also remarked that local governments have not yet made expected investments in the education sector.

He stated, "We organized this training by considering the requests of teachers and staff. This training will not only support the improvement of the school’s financial system but also allow the sharing of experiences among teaching staff. Some technical aspects will also be taught. Our core intention is to enhance the educational administration of community schools."

Local Voices Appreciate Hosting Outside the Headquarters

Technical Assistant Jivan Rokaya expressed gratitude to the Social Development Office for organizing the training in Kanakasundari, rather than always hosting such events at the district headquarters.

He shared, "We used to be compelled to travel to the district center every time.

We’re pleased it’s been organized in Kanakasundari for the first time. This training will serve as a milestone in ensuring financial governance in schools. The existing uncertainties will also be addressed."

Training Duration and Participation

According to Shivashankar Chaulagai, an employee at the Social Development Office, the training will conclude on the 27th of Jestha.

He confirmed that teachers and staff from model schools across all eight municipalities are participating in the training.
